The First Prayer in the Bible and How God Answered According to Covenant

Welcome to Windows of Heaven Prayer Group on Facebook Bible Studies of "Prayers in the Bible."

What Was the First Prayer in the Bible? How God Answered According to Covenant.

What Was the First Prayer in the Bible?  How God Answered According to Covenant.

Genesis 15--A closer look at a conversation with Abram and God.

After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

--God answered Abram in a vision and spoke a promise.

2 And Abram said, Lord God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?

--Abram told God one of the stewards in the house was his but God told him the steward did not belong to him, the steward belonged to God.

3 And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.

--Abram reminded God that he had no seed, or child.

4 And, behold, the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.

Gods Rest Daily Prayer Devotional Born of Gods Faith in Prayer

Welcome to God's Rest Daily Prayer Devotional

"Born of God's Faith"

So, let me cut right to the chase. What if I were to say to you, "You are born of God's faith?" Look, when we died with Jesus and arose with Jesus (Romans 6) He was the Door and the Way for the Father to enter through and seek out every person and join them together with Himself as One.

There is a reason why I left the faith movement as I know it. Everything I lived for, and everything I believed in was difficult because I was living on the outside of God's Rest & Righteousness.
Frankly, when I say God's Rest & Righteousness I dare to believe different then most.  The sayings, "Have faith in God" or, "Have the faith of God" have been interpreted from the wrong perspective.  Look, nobody wants to come off as a "Know it all."  The fact of the matter is what I learned is different from what I used to think that it will take a few times to understand when you read this post what is different.  Did you notice the picture that is shown with this post says, "Born of God's Faith?"

So, let me cut right to the chase.  What if I were to say to you, "You are born of God's faith?"  Look, when we died with Jesus and arose with Jesus (Romans 6) He was the Door and the Way for the Father to enter through and seek out every person and join them together with  Himself as One.

2 Corinthians 5 To wit, God was in Christ Jesus reconciling the world unto Himself not imputing their trespasses against them but committing to them the word and ministry of reconciliation.

Romans 6:4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.

So, "Where do we go from here?"  When we acknowledge in our hearts that we are already one with our Heavenly Father through Christ Jesus we understand that we are now positioned to be infused and filled to all that He is.  To say that we are filled with all that He is helps us understand that we now walk in the fullness of God's ability from the receiving side of Life, the Life of abundance.

"How can we apply this" in each of our lives?  This part takes some getting used to and rearranging of our thoughts and words.

For example, I used to say "Father I come to you and ask for this or that" in prayer.  Now that I realize that I am born of His faith I go into God's Word and see that "God already said multiply" to my needs.  At the same time, "God already said be fruitful to my needs."  I can continue to say for many pages long that "God already did, and God already said" for anything in my life.

So, now I have learned to speak to what I am desiring to come into my life and tell it, "___________ you have already been made One with God through the cross, and you have been made available for me to have.  I speak to you that God's Word cuts off all works of darkness from you to hide you from me and hinder you from me.  So, _______________ come in Jesus name."  Amen.

To create using these types of call to actions are different because we are used to praying the old way. The word ask in prayer means to call for, or to demand for something due.
(Strong's G154)

Yet, we have to understand that the only way we can have confidence in what we call forth in prayer is the foundation of God's Rest & Righteousness as evidence in our lives that every heart is joined together as One and God's Rest is living in our hearts.  For that reason, "We are now born of God and born of His ability--or, of His Faith" and so much more!

To Those Who Have Obtained Like Precious Faith Through the Righteousness of God

Our Scripture Reading today is, 2 Peter 1 I Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ:

Welcome to "God's Rest Daily Devotional"

Our Scripture Reading today is,

2 Peter 1

I Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ:

One of the thoughts that came to me while I read the writings of Peter is "What type of people Peter was speaking to."  Here, in the opening letters of his second epistle Peter said, "To those that have obtained like precious faith with us--through the righteousness of God, and our Savior Jesus Christ."

Although I have read this many times it was not until I began to walk in the revelation of God's Rest and Righteousness that I realized a key to this chapter was so powerful that I have been meditating upon this chapter for years.  That is, "The Righteousness of God and Jesus Christ" is what reveals like precious faith.

When you live in the finished works of God through Christ you are vitally joined to your Heavenly Father as One.  It was through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ that positioned every disciple for the Father to enter into the Door of the Life of Jesus to search for all who believe to vitally join Himself to each of our hearts forever more.  This precious joining together as One is the Righteousness of God and Jesus Christ revealed.

As you study the meaning of the word "Precious" you begin to understand more insight to desire of the Heart of God to join Himself to every disciple as One, through Christ Jesus.  Here, the word "Precious" represents the idea of divine allotment.

It is through the joining together as One that the heart of the disciple is then infused with who God is and His ability, which is the meaning of the word faith.  Before this joining together as One a heart was not born of God nor of His faith, or ability.

As a child and even serving as a Pastor in a local fellowship for seven years I believed that Jesus died for me, Jesus cleansed me from my sins and Jesus was coming again.  After inviting Jesus into my heart I still struggled with the old-life and had no ability to overcome.  However, it was not until I learned that through the cross Jesus positioned me in a place to become born of God and be born of the exact faith God has.

Romans 6 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

We must understand that when we say we have faith we we are acknowledging in our hearts  two important insights that will help a disciple live in God's Rest and Righteousness.  That is, when we say we have faith it is because we are born of God's Rest and His ability which is Righteousness. If one plus one is two then being born of God and born of His faith.  You cannot separate the two because both are one when you are born of God.  Now that's good news !

In closing, as we go back to the opening statement in the writing of the Apostle Peter and we read his greeting to the church he spoke to those, "Who obtained like precious faith (Being born of God and born of His ability as One) through the Righteousness of God and Christ Jesus."  Understanding this key, helps us understand the context of this chapter in which we will pick up on verse two next time around.

Turning Prayer Into Prophecy The Knowledge of Gods Rest is Filling and Covering Your Situation

Label-Prophecy and Prayer (Releasing the Spirit and Testimony of Jesus)

Description-Learning how to change your situation through prophecy

Turning your prayer into prophecy is allowing the Spirit and Testimony of Christ Jesus to release God's Rest and Righteousness in it's purest form as the foundation of God's Habitation in the earth.

When we learn to operate out of the Resurrection as our position of being born of God's Rest & Righteousness we are co-laboring with the Person of the Holy Spirit to move upon our words and carry them out in potent power.

Habakkuk 2:14 For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.

Prophecy God's Rest and Righteousness to increase, cover, and fill your situation in the knowledge of the glory of the LORD. Rest and believe! In Jesus name.

I Will Put Enmity Between You and Your Situation

Prophecy and Prayer Scroll and Key Series I Will Put Enmity Between You and Your Seed Forever

Galatians 4

3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:

4 But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
