Three Steps to Increase Your Faith Questions and Answers About Prayer

Online School of Prayer With Christ

"Three Steps to Increase Faith in Prayer?"

Questions and Answers for the Intercessor

question and answers on prayer

There are times in our lives when we think that we need more faith because our prayers do not seem to be answered as quick as we want.  It is in times like that we question ourselves, "How Can I Increase in Faith in Prayer?"

The way we increase in faith is to ask ourselves, "Are we praying from God's Rest point of view?"  Operating out of God's Rest in our lives, through the finished works of the cross, affirms that He is with us and that He has heard our prayers.  God's Rest gives affirming prayers because His Rest in us, through Christ, makes us One.  It is in that place of Resting as One we have confidence that He is watching over our prayers. So, ask yourself, "I am praying from the position of God's Rest in me, through Christ?"

Secondly, we must understand that "Increasing in Faith" is understanding what faith is.  Faith is "Releasing what God has already accomplished through Christ Jesus on the cross" on our behalf. Faith is, "The works of God that He has already put in place for us to put them to work in our lives.  Faith is the victories of God has He has accomplished through the cross on our behalf."  So, we increase in faith through prayer by releasing His works and what He has already created for us to use.  The reason God already created everything we already need, and has given us the victory of all things in our lives already through Christ and His cross is that "He will Rest in us as One in a deeper relationship and have greater fellowship with Him." When we learn this insight and begin to operate out of it we are operating out of "God's Faith, we are operating out of Jesus faith, we are operating out of the faith of the Holy Spirit."  At the same time, "To the measure we release the fullness of faith in our lives  into our situations, we learn the joy of trusting God."

So many people say they trust God, but really do not.  So many people say that they have faith, and that is true, but they have never been taught that the fullness of faith is available for them in every area of life.

In Genesis 1:26-28 we read,
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Lastly we must understand that when we pray from God's Rest in us, "We speak a position where our hearts and mouths are one."  Romans 10 says, "It is with the heart man believes unto righteousness but it is the mouth confession is made."  Not long ago I looked the meaning of the word 'mouth' and it means mind.  Did you know, or could you imagine that your mouth is your mind? Your mind is connected to where you are One in God, in the fullness of who He is in your inner being.  It is here when you learn this secret you are doing more than just speaking God's Rest, you are releasing "His ability" without any hindrances and the quickening work of the Holy Spirit releases the power of God's Word because you are Divinely Connected with the Resources of the Kingdom in your inner man.

Gods Rest Daily Prayer Devotional Fire on the Altar

Fire on the Altar

God's Rest Daily Prayer Devotional
"Keep the Fire Burning"

Leviticus 1:6
And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay the wood in order upon the fire:

In the Old Testament every priest had a responsibility to chop down enough wood to put it on the altar so "The Fire on the Altar" would never, ever, go out--day or night. It was the "Fire on the Altar" that consumed every burnt offering they had to offer. Let me ask you, "Can you imagine carrying around huge animals all day and putting wood on the altar to burn, so it will never go out?" Fact of the matter was, "If the fire went out you were discounted a Priest in your service unto God."

Of course, "The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross" was the Perfect sacrifice and the Father consumed His Love for mankind and His Son "By Fire!" It is written, God will be a "Wall of Fire" around us. (Zech. 2:5) Hallelujah!

"The Fiery Love of God would insulate all those who acknowledge God's Rest in their hearts, through Christ Jesus, and is a a Wall of Fire around us." However, as every believer lives in God's Rest and releases God's Word through Christ in us, "His Word goes through that Wall of Fire and becomes fiery spears of dominating potent prayer to consume our foes on every side." It is written "His Fire goes before us." (Psalm 97:3) We are seasoned to guard God's Rest in our hearts in powerful prayer as King's and Priests to keep the Fiery Love of God burning from the Blood Stained Wood of the Altar--the Cross, where the perfect Lamb was slain. Hallelujah!
No wonder every enemy of the finished works of God's Rest through Christ in us--wants us to keep our eyes on worry; sickness; disease; division; curses; opinions of what people think or say--more than our position of God's Rest in us through Christ as our Righteousness.

There is an old sacred hymn we used to sing, "Sweet hour of prayer
Sweet hour of prayer
That calls me from a world of care..."

Confession: Today I acknowledge God's Rest in me and that I am surrounded by a Wall of Fire and insulated in Righteousness, through Christ. I take from His Fire to bask in His Love and enforce & release the Fire from the Cross through Christ --by speaking God's Victories and Word into my situations in my day. In Jesus name. Amen.

Gods Rest Daily Devotion Prospering in Gods Peace and Rest

Prospering in God's Peace and Rest

Romans 8

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

"What shall we say then?"  Here, Paul tells us, "There is a Carnal Vs Spiritual" and it is the Spiritual where you have peace.  Here, the word peace is translated at Rest.   Rest is deliverance that keeps the carnal mind subject under your feet.  Rest is deliverance that quiets the nature of the soul, by simply acknowledging in your heart--that place where you are one in God, that God lives in you.

Here, the word peace means: not only Rest, but also: harmony, secure, made to keep and maintain a soul to be prosperous.   The law of Life in God through Christ is as simple as, acknowledging God lives in you through Christ (this is putting Him first) and as you speak with your mouth words of thanksgiving and praise that which is carnal or death--will be enforced to be silenced immediately.

In short, "The Law of Life is releasing God's ability into your situation and living out of His Rest through Christ" through your words into that situation. Ha! Now that is Good News!

Let's turn our hymns to:
The Law of the Lord is Perfect

The law of the Lord is perfect,
converting the soul.
The testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple

Chorus
More to be desired are they than gold,
yea, than much fine gold.
Sweeter also than honey
and the honeycomb.

Author: Unknown

Confession: Father today, I acknowledge that You live in me and in that place of being One with you I choose Rest and confess with my mouth Scriptures of Peace and Rest which puts the works of the flesh in my mind under my feet automatically, in Jesus name.

Gods Rest Daily Prayer Devotional Why People Lack Confidence in Prayer

Why People Lack Confidence in Prayer

Matthew 11:28-29
28  Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls

Far too often God's people lack confidence.  Some people have low self-esteem, unhappy childhoods, teachers in school who were always critical, even relationships never last long.
When a heart is born anew in God, "These same people lack confidence in God." For that reason Jesus said, "I will give you rest."

Being one in God's Rest is acknowledging that God lives in you through Christ Jesus. Not practicing this Rest by acknowledging God lives in you and you are upheld in Him by Christ Jesus as Your Good Shepherd is the reason people lack confidence in prayer.

It is here you learn confidence by understanding everything that is already yours through His Word.  As well, by taking everything He created freely to work on their behalf.

In short, "When a person rests in God as One through the finished works of the cross-they learn to release His ability which is His faith into their situations.  They learn to release the ability of Jesus --which is His faith through the finished works of God on the cross."

At last, they learn to release their ability to choose--which is their faith, all that God has given to them and created for them through His Word to remain in victory.  Now, that is Good News!

Let's Turn our Hymns to:
How Sweet is My Rest
Barney E. Warren 1893

How sweet is the comfort and rest of my soul,
Where peace doth so tranquilly flow;
Though storm-cloud and tempest and dark billows roll,
All my heart with His sunlight doth glow.

Refrain:
How sweet is my rest! And how richly I’m blest!
Oh, how sweet is the rest of my soul!

Confession:
Father, in Jesus name I acknowledge You live in me and Jesus is the Door to my heart that You have entered in and live freely in me as an act of My Will.  Help me, by Your Spirit, know what You have already given to me; already created for me; to take and release your ability for every situation in my life so that I can walk in confidence one and for all in prayer.  In Jesus name. Amen.

Gods Rest Daily Devotional Heart to Heart One in Gods Rest

Heart to Heart

Romans 10:10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

"Did you notice that it is the heart and tongue that is one, not the heart and head?"  So many times we have heard the statement, "I think I just think too much."

What if I said that the heart is where you think your thoughts, your desires, your passions-and more? It is from your heart that Righteousness flows, because it is that place in the heart that Jesus is the Door for the Father to live through you.  Yet, at the same time, "What would you think if I told you that the word mouth is heart too?"  Yes, you read that right.

So, here is the thought.  When we allow God to flow out of our hearts and our mouth where our words are "Heart to heart" we are flowing purposefully, and passionately, as One, in God's Rest.  For that reason, "With the mouth being One in God deliverance is revealed" in Jesus name.

Now that is Good News!

Let's turn our hymnals to:

Enthroned in Jesus now

Enthroned is Jesus now,
Upon His heavenly seat;
The kingly crown is on His brow,
The saints are at His feet.
Refrain:
There with the glorified,
Safe by our Savior's side,
We shall be satisfied
By and by;
By and by,
By and by;
We shall be satisfied
By and by.

Gods Rest Daily Prayer Devotional Being Specific in Prayer

Being Specific in Prayer

Ephesians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Did you know there is enough energy from the sun in one day to supply every need on the earth for one person in a life time? Think about that!

God's supply for everything we need on earth is endless.  At the same time, "God's supply for all your needs; all your  provision, everything you need in your life was made available for you right were you have been planted by God in Christ--for your life time."

God already created for you all things, already made a Way for you to receive all things that pertain to life and God-likeness.

For that reason, we must base all our prayers on the Word of God and His promises.

You have to be specific in prayer by using God's Word so you can have all that
He desired for you to have, and created for you to have.   In that same place,
Jesus purchased and paid everything for you to have what God created for you.

When you are specific
you are operating out of His Rest, His abilities, through Christ in you, which is His Faith.
When you operate in this potent type of prayer there is no mountain that can hinder
God's ability through you at any time, for any need.  Now that is Good News!

Let's turn our hymnals to:

How Firm a Foundation
How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
Is laid for your faith in His excellent word!
What more can He say than to you He hath said,
To you who for refuge to Jesus have fled?
1787 by John Rippen

Confession: Father, thank You that You have already restored, provided every thing
That pertains to my Life where you have planted in me, and dwell in me through
Your Rest in Christ.  I go to Your Word today and find what You say I can have,
what You have already done for me and release Your ability into my situation
in prayer and thanksgiving as One in Your Rest through Christ Jesus.  Amen.

Gods Rest Daily Devotion Every Word

Every Word

Saturday, February 15, 2020

Matthew 4:4 - But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Here, Jesus was in the wilderness being tempted of the devil and it seemed as though the devil knew how to use the Word, speak the Word but there was one thing that was missing. Jesus said, "It's not what you say, and how you say it, but it is how you live by what comes out of the mouth of God."

For some odd reason, "We think the same thing so often! Oh, if we can quote this Scripture, or quote that Scripture for whatever we need." Fact of the matter is, "The word mouth means--heart. At the same time, mouth means face." It is in our hearts we are one in God's heart. It is when we live out of His Heart we see Him Face to face.

It is that place of being One in God's Rest, "Heart (mouth) to heart (our mouth) that causes us to be on the cutting edge of everything we do; everything we say." It is from the heart --that born again part of you were everything you need in Life that makes God's Word come alive and give us victory for our day. Today, His Face is shining in and upon you. That is Good News!

LET'S TURN OUR HYMNALS TO:

I Rest in God Alone
I rest in God alone,
from whom comes my salvation;
my soul finds rest in God,
my fortress: I'll not be shaken.
Stuart Townsend -2007

Confession: Father, I thank You that I can choose Your Rest for another day today, to live heart to heart with you. I will live out of Your victories, Your works, and speak what You have already done for me by staying in my lane of victory as One in Your Heart through Christ in me. Amen.

God's Rest Daily Prayer Devotional Now Faith

Now Faith

Wednesday, February 12, 2020

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
The evidence of things not seen.

"Yes it is" Sister Mary said.  "No it isn't" Brother John said.  "Yes it is" Sister Mary said, "Go and see, it is happening right now" and both of them went to see if it was true or not.

When you study the meaning of faith, "Do you know the word is means a third person is present and is working on your behalf?"  For that reason, "Now faith is" talking about "God's ability, through Christ in you.  God's victories that are already won through Christ in you."   Operating out of the "Faith of God is simply understanding that we operate out of His works, through Christ in us, and believe what His Word already says."

You don't have to strive to believe, all you have to do is release His victories out of your heart where you live with Him; where you Rest in Him and Him in you" and what you say will surely come to pass.  Now that is Good News!

Let's turn our hymnals to:
Abide With Me

Abide with me; fast falls the eventide;
The darkness deepens; Lord with me abide.
When other helpers fail and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, O abide with me.

Words: Henry Lyte (1847)

Confession: Father thank You that You have already created a victory for everything I need,  and a solution for every care, or provision.  I choose Your Rest and speak what You have already done into being in my life, and simply believe.  Thank You Father ahead of time, in Jesus name. Amen.

Gods Rest Daily Prayer Devotionals Old Things

Old Things

Sunday, February 9, 2020
10:27 PM
2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.
The old things are passed away.  Behold, the new has come.

So often we hear people say, "Well, prayer is conversation with God."  Yet, when we read the words of the disciples to Jesus, "Teach us to pray" in what we call the Lord's prayer, "Jesus taught His disciples to take what exists in heaven and bring it into the earth."  Let me ask you that, "Did you ever notice that?"

Here, we read that "Old things are passed away" and the new has come.  People say, "Well, nothing ever seems to change." Or, "If it ain't broke don't fix it."  Fact of the matter is, prayer is making all things new in our lives because old things have passed away.  Here, the word things means, "Conditions."  We do not have to live in the old anymore--in any area of our lives, "Because we can allow prayer to begin to create new conditions in our lives, today."  Pray out of what God has done through Christ today and release the new in your life.  Now that is Good News !

Let's turn our hymns to:
Bringing in the Sheaves

Sowing in the morning, sowing seeds of kindness,
Sowing in the noontide and the dewy eve;
Waiting for the harvest, and the time of reaping,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

Confession: Father today in Jesus name I acknowledge there are old conditions in my life that need to become new.  Therefore, I give You praise right now "That Your kingdom come in __________ area of my life because it is Your will for me to live in new conditions."  I receive and I believe, in Jesus name.  Amen.

Gods Rest Daily Devotions Like Precious Faith

Like Precious Faith

Sunday, February 9, 2020

2 Peter 1
To those who have received and possess [by God’s will] a precious faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ:

Believers in God, and in Christ, "Possess the same faith as God, and Savior Jesus Christ."   We do not need more faith, because the "Faith of God in Christ is already in  us."  This is the beauty of understanding the foundation of righteousness because we are no longer living on the outside of God but God lives in us through Christ Jesus by the Holy Spirit.

In short, all the fullness of God and His ability, His victories, His Wisdom lives in us--and more.

I have heard people say, "Oh, if I only had the size of a mustard seed faith" or, "Oh, pray that God will increase my faith."  Fact of the matter is, "Faith is ability of God through Christ and His ability already lives in you." Now that is Good News!

Let's turn our hymns to:
Great is Thy Faithfulness

Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
there is no shadow of turning with thee;
thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not;
as thou hast been thou forever wilt be.

Thomas O. Chisholm-1923

Confession:
Father, thank You that the fullness of the Righteousness of who You are through Christ has made me to possess Your Faith with is Your abilities; Your victories; through Christ in all I do. In Jesus name.

God's Rest Daily Prayer Devotional Jesus our Lighthouse

Jesus our Light House

Wednesday, February 5, 2020
11:18 PM
John 1:4
In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.

No matter how the roar of the cares of life come into your thoughts, against your day, in the circumstances of your life, " Let God's Rest be in you" because Your Heavenly Father has hidden you inside the "Strong Tower of Jesus as Your Lighthouse." Those roars of the world can't move Jesus, and He will see to it that you will have the victory.
As you allow God's Rest in your hearts, "He will shine Light through Christ in you of His Righteousness and in that Light, He will sow into your storm His Peace."

It is during this time when Your Heavenly Father shines Light upon "Jesus as Your Lighthouse" you will see that God is for you and not against you. That's Good News!

Let's turn our hymnals to:

The Light House

There's a lighthouse on the hillside that overlooks life's sea.
When I'm tossed it sends out a light that I might see.
And the light that shines in darkness now will safely lead me home,
If it wasn't for the lighthouse, my ship would sail no more.

God's Rest Daily Devotional I Am the Resurrection

I Am the Resurrection

Wednesday, February 5, 2020
9:02 PM
John 11:25
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.

We all have situations in our lives that we all wonder, "How can any good come out of this? How can it get any worse?"

Yet, when we acknowledge God's Rest in us, through the Righteousness of God in Christ we can honestly say that "All things are under our feet."

The fact of the matter is, "You live inside of Jesus --who is the Resurrection of Life." Through the lost art of the finished works of God in Christ of the cross, there is so much potent Life coming out of you --that you may not realize you are pushing back darkness just standing in that grocery isle; walking down that city street block; sitting in your car at a red light waiting for the light to change."
We need to remind ourselves, "The resurrection of Jesus lives inside of you--and you are held up by God's Rest and Righteousness. " That's Good News!

Let's turn our hymnals to:

I Am the Resurrection and Life
I am the resurrection and the life,
He that believeth in me tho' He were deade,
Yet shall He live,
Yet shall he live,
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me
shall never, never die.
