What Does it Mean to Enter Into Prayer Three Insights to the Lords Prayer

How to Pray

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO ENTER INTO PRAYER |- THREE INSIGHTS TO THE LORD'S PRAYER

Matthew 6
Jesus said, "When you pray enter into your closet."

In today's time together we have often heard the Lord Jesus say, "When you pray enter into your closet" that comes from the Lord's prayer. However, what does it really mean to enter?
For some, it means our posture to lift up hands and boldly go before the Throne. To others, it means a time of praise and worship of going to one place to another. "Did you know that entering into prayer has everything to do with acknowledging a position?"
At first that might sound odd, yet-today I will share one insight on "Entering into Prayer."
Here, the word enter represents the idea of "Finding your place of influence." Influence comes by living in the position of God's Rest in you --as One, through Christ.
It is the influence of God's Rest that is the influence to all prayer because God's Rest is authority and power. It is the Person of Christ Jesus who upholds you in this position
As the Door for the Father to "Enter into" your position of prayer, and the Way for the Father to "Enter into" your position of prayer out of living in the finished works of the cross.

The pure simplicity of acknowledging that God now lives in you through Christ, allows the prophetic person of prayer to experience the High Calling of God in prayer, in them and it
is the Father's Rest that fills our temple as His habitation that causes the Father's Rest to be the weight and power of prayer in which we speak--through Christ Jesus. Now, that is good news.

LET'S TURN OUR HYMNS TO:

Alone With God
Johnson Oatman, Jr., 1904.

Alone with God, the world forbidden,
Alone with God, O blest retreat!
Alone with God, and in Him hidden,
To hold with Him communion sweet.

CONFESSION:

Father, today I acknowledge my position of being One with you in prayer.
I praise You that being in this place it is Your presence that fills my heart and words as I wait on You, and bask in you as I am "Alone with You." I thank You that I am secure in Jesus and He alone holds me in You to dwell in me as One through the cross.
In Jesus name. Amen.
