Covenant Devotional
The Branch of Righteousness
Jeremiah 33:15
In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
I was out in my yard mowing my grass and cleaning out my bushes from wild vines with my pitch fork. About an hour had gone by doing as I was speaking my devotions outloud. As I was working I heard a very large branch snap off my tree and fall and hit my roof. I stopped my yard work and got my ladder to ascend to my roof top to clean up the debris and continued to speak outloud my devotions. When I was finished cleaning my roof top, I gave thanks to God and continued working and doing my devotions.
As the disciple remains in Covenant their circumstances are already positioned in Righteousness and Rest in life. For that reason walking in Covenant will cause the Life of God with us to reveal what is the highest best for our lives and God will execute Justice and Righteousness on their behalf.
Just like the branch that broke off from my tree, Covenant will cause the disciple to have wood to burn to keep the fire burning of worship: adversity will give wood to burn in praise and worship, what is working for the disciple will give fire to burn of worship.
Yet, all these things the highest form of worship is remaining as One in Covenant and everything else is an overflow. Don't be moved by circumstances but be moved that you are One with God in Covenant.
For the disciple of Covenant, "Covenant will maintain our cause in Righteousness and Rest." God is Good. God is enough.
Confession:
No matter what happens in my life I am upheld in Rest and Righteousness through Covenant. I acknowledge that I am One in the fullness of who God is in my life, and Covenant will maintain my cause to walk in quiet peace and assurance no matter what I go through. In Jesus name. Amen.
