The Voice of Rest The Difference Between the Righteousness of Jesus and the Righteousness of God

The Voice of Rest The Difference Between the Righteousness of Jesus and the Righteousness of God

The Voice of Rest The Difference Between the Righteousness of Jesus and the Righteousness of God (Part 2)

Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Grace is the Way the Father came to every disciple through Jesus in His death and Resurrection which is the Righteousness of Jesus. For this Grace, we are saved.  The Righteousness of Jesus is different from the Righteousness of the Father.

  • The Righteousness of Jesus: The Righteousness of Jesus positions a disciple as One in the death and resurrection of Jesus.  For in this position, I rest in the joining together as One in Christ as my Passover Lamb in Redemption.  The supply of His Blood Covenant washes me and sets me free from the nature of sin and the commands of the world. It is written in Romans 6, "I have died with Jesus and I am planted together in the likeness of His death."  Jesus died once and for all and does not need to die again as was the Perfect Sin Offering for all who live in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, "Jesus was made sin that we (disciples) will be made righteous."

However, it is how the Father joined Himself to me in His Rest making us One the Righteousness of God is revealed through the lost art of finished works of the Cross.

  • The Righteousness of God: The Father's Righteousness has the same call to action as the Son Jesus. However, the Way the Father's Righteousness is different from the Son.  That is, there are two distinct differences between the Righteousness of God and the Son.  Here, the Father came through the Door Life of Christ Jesus to find, to seek, to live and join Himself to those who believe in His Rest. It is in this Rest of God that we are infused with His Life.  Here, in the Father's Rest His Righteousness is revealed.  The Father's Rest joins Himself to every disciple because of the Righteousness of Jesus and positions every disciple in the Father's Rest to live in the blessing, to replenish and multiply and subdue after the Father's Rest.
In Romans chapter one verse seven the Apostle Paul gives his greeting to the church of Rome saying, "To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ." Here, he was speaking to a people who understood the message of Grace for this reason he greeted them with Grace.  However, Grace is not the end of the means.  Grace is how the Father came to us through who He is by Way of Christ Jesus in His death and resurrection.  Just as Jesus could not go to the Father on His own through the cross, the Father came to Him as Jesus prayed on the cross "Father into thy hands I commend My Spirit." (Luke 23:46) That is the beauty of Grace and through Grace by faith we are saved.  Being saved does not mean I experience Rest.  On the contrary Jesus said over thirty-eight times in the Book of John statements that lead His disciples to believe that "On His own He can do nothing.  For it is the Father who does the work through Him." As Jesus relied upon the Holy Spirit to take of the Father to give to Him the Father was His Righteousness.  Here, we see that just as Jesus rested in the Father we must learn to rest in the Father and be joined together as One.  If Grace is the means in which the Father came to live in Jesus then we can now understand that Jesus wanted to reveal more to those who believed.  That is, Jesus wanted to reveal how the Father would join Himself together as One in His Rest as His disciples and be infused with Nature of the Father to live a life positioned in the finished works of the Father.

Luther, Spurgeon and many others preached Grace "But, is the message of Grace enough?"  I would beg to differ that "Grace is not enough, yet Grace is enough to be saved."  The question is, "Why is Grace not enough?" The reason Grace is not enough is because the Righteousness of Christ Jesus and the Righteousness of God is not revealed.  Grace does not teach me the works of Righteousness and Rest of Jesus in the Father.  Secondly, Grace does not teach me the works of Righteousness and Rest of the Father through Jesus as the Way to join Himself together in His Rest to those that believe. Grace is the supply of who the Father is through Christ coming to me to make me One in Rest but the actual joining together as One in Rest is Righteousness.

First, let us look at the Righteousness of Christ Jesus.  As stated the meaning of the Righteousness of Christ Jesus at the beginning of this article it is through "The death and resurrection of Christ Jesus" that I have died with Christ Jesus and risen with Christ Jesus.  I am not on the outside looking into the life of Christ Jesus and His works to only believe.  I am vitally living on the inside of the works of Christ Jesus through His death and resurrection by His Righteousness and Rest. Therefore, upon this acknowledgement, I am joined together as One in the works of Christ Jesus in His Rest.

Grace reveals that Jesus came to me but Grace does not reveal what the Father did through Christ which was the cleansing of every heart and believer of the Blood of the Lamb to be made whole through redemption. For that reason, "Grace is not enough, yet Grace is enough to be saved."  For that reason, "Grace is a gift from God not of our own works." (Eph. 2:8-9)
