Matthew 5:30 If your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from  you: for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

How do you help a soul that is in constant defeat of besetting sin? How do you help a soul that is in constant need of never walking in the victory that they were purchased and redeemed to walk in? Jesus said, "Cut it off!"  Yet, is this what Jesus really meant? Some would say, "Follow the Bible to the dot and tittle."  Others would say, "Count the cost before you act out what you desire from darkness."  Yet, I would like to challenge the weak and broken to a thought, "Jesus is our Repentance."

This is the chapter where Jesus said, "Are you poor in spirit?  I will give you the kingdom." He went on to say, " Are you deeply mournful? You can be comforted.  Do you hunger and thirst for what is right and you cannot walk in it?  You shall be filled."  Imagine Jesus also said, "Because you show mercy to others, in your state of deep need to overcome I will show you mercy as well." (Matthew 5)

To understand repentance is to understand that "Jesus is our Repentance."  In the New Birth you have died with Jesus, you have risen with Jesus and you have been made one with the Father.  It is there, through the Blood Covenant, that you are now positioned to live a Life of Rest with God through Jesus.  Jesus is your turn around and make it right position.  Jesus is your change of thought--because you couldn't change your ways or thoughts yourself.  Jesus not only gave you a new way to walk in but Jesus took you through change that you could not change yourself.

What an empty Gospel is preached to the soul that is weary if they have never heard, "You cannot change on your own.  The only deliverance you need-once and for all, is to understand that what you are facing, and what has tried to dominion over you is the lack of understanding that you are One with God through Jesus, by the Holy Spirit.  You have passed into newness of Life and the old is done is away with.

All you have to do is simply acknowledge in your heart, acknowledge in your thoughts, acknowledge in your body that "Jesus already walked you through the path of change of heart, change of thoughts (He promised to give you new thoughts), change of body and He is now your repentance of change."  As you simply acknowledge that because of the Blood of Jesus you now live in Blood Covenant and your past has been utterly destroyed. "What shall we say then?" someone might ask.  That is when you tell yourself, "I have already passed over.  I have already been raised out of this.  I have already been positioned to rest with God in the fullness of who He is, and I am seated in Victory through Christ."  So the next time someone quotes this Scripture at you, "Cut it off" tell them, "It is already cut off through the work of Blood Covenant of the cross and I now choose to rest in the finished works of the cross."

It's not a place you have to step into.  It's not a place you need to ascend to.  It's not a place you strive to enter into.  It's not a chant you have to say to get full of the presence of God.  It is a place you have already been positioned in and that position will train you in God's Rest. Now that is good news!

Confession: Father, in the name of Jesus I give You thanks that Jesus is my repentance.  Through Him You brought me to live in You.  Through Him You caused me to be seated over every challenge in life.  Through Him you made a Blood Covenant with me that You made me clean.  I choose to simply stand on this a hundred times a day if need be that Jesus is my repentance because You already knew I could not change in my own ways.  Amen.
